About the notebook

A reference for small pieces of work

Everyday Design is an open notebook about the habits that make observations and handoffs easier to understand.

A modest scope

These pages discuss ordinary working notes: how to state a question, preserve its conditions and explain what a result supports. They are not a professional service, a certification method or a report about a named organisation. Examples are deliberately general so readers can adapt the ideas to their own work.

Read in the order you need

The index groups seven short readings into a single collection. Every article has a section list and links to nearby readings. You can follow a sequence, or open the one note that helps with today's question.

A useful note need not explain everything. It should make its boundary clear enough that another reader can decide whether to use it, repeat a check or ask a more focused question.

Plain pages

All reading content and illustrations are local static files. No account or signup is needed. The notebook uses simple navigation, visible keyboard focus and a layout that follows a narrow screen as well as a wider desk display.
